2 WHY WE JOINED THE PROJECT Why we joined the CARIDIS project? (most common question from our trainees involved in CARIDIS) What Meritum stands for?  Not only Polish language school, but also Polish culture propagator  Teaching elements of Polish Culture such as : menality, customs, cultural differences

3 DIFFICULT FIRST STEPS How to define a disappearing trade? Analysis - of the publications and scintific descriptions on the trades losing popularity or economic grounds Conclusion – descriptions as folklore only Trying to analyse trades from the non-folklore point of view Effect – presentation of criteria for a disappearing trade developed by our team and presented during the 2nd meeting in Padua

7 WHAT WE GAINED FROM THE PROJECT  Discovering European institutions providing adult education  Learning their good practices (project management, communication between partners, evaluation tools, podcast workshops in Padua)  Oportunity to improve lingual skills in English, German, Spanish and Greek – participation in partner meetings  Rising cultural awarness  Rising ICT skills  Cooperation with Culture Institute of Warsaw University

8 FUTURE PLANS  Radio broadcast  News on TV  Disappearing Trades Trail – adding new product to the cultural programme of our school; promotion of craftsmen among our foreign students visiting Warsaw or working here  Further cooperation with Warsaw University on the cultural projects  Involving other schools – informing about new possibilities, teaching/learning materials
