Reduce the harm caused to victims, their families and communities by illegal drugs and the misuse of alcohol. Reduce the harm caused to victims of criminal and antisocial behaviour through hatred, intolerance or prejudice, which is directed at a person because they are different, whether that be because of their race, sexuality, any form of disability or some other personal and individual characteristic of that person. Reduce the harm caused to victims and communities as a result of antisocial behaviour either through preventative / diversionary activities or through enforcement work. Gloucestershire health and wellbeing strategy Starting well Reduce the numbers of pregnant women that smoke Increase the numbers of young children who eat well and maintain a healthy weight Reduce the numbers of children living in poverty Developing well Increase the numbers of young people who eat well, are physically active, maintain a healthy weight, do not smoke, do not drink alcohol or drink within safe limits, do not use drugs Increase the numbers of young people that are in education, employment or training Living well / working well Reduce the difference in life expectancy between the least deprived and most deprived populations Increase the number of adults who eat well, are physically active, maintain a healthy weight, do not smoke, drink within safe limits, do not use drugs Improve the sexual health of young people (15+) and adults Reduce illness & early deaths, & reduce the deprivation gap, for cancers, CHD, stroke, COPD, diabetes, liver disease Reduce levels of self harm and suicide Ageing well Continue to improve identification and management of dementia, including the support given to carers Reduce the number of hip fractures among people aged 65 and over Reduce the numbers of excess winter deaths among people aged 75 and over Police and Crime Commissioner Accessibility and accountability – Getting the right resources to the right situation or problem first time, every time, on time & dealing with the matter appropriately & effectively. Older but not overlooked – Older people need to feel and remain an active part of our communities whether they live in their own homes or are in residential care. Young people becoming adults – We need sensitive, relevant and effective policing to ensure our young people become law-abiding, productive members of society. Safe days and nights for all – Gloucestershire has a strong night-time economy but it needs to be better managed, with alcohol related crime and disorder being reduced. Safe & Social driving – People should be able move around our communities in safety and with as much ease and convenience as possible. Children and Young People’s Partnership Plan We will work well together to provide right and timely effective intervention for vulnerable children and families as early as possible Our vulnerable children and young people will ‘enjoy the best start in life Our vulnerable children and young people will be enabled to ‘maximize their capabilities and have control over their own lives Our vulnerable children and young people will be ‘safe from injury, exploitation and harm County-wide Priorities
