12 Continue to encourage educators to use the Upgrade Advisor! The Upgrade Degree Approval form is for requesting review of an advanced degree program that is not already listed in the upgrade advisor. Educators should be encouraged to submit the form prior to enrollment into an advanced degree program. New programs (both acceptable and unacceptable) are entered into the advisor regularly. Educators who completed an advanced degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Technology or Teacher Leadership, but are outside of the extended grandfathering period, are placed on hold for completion of the conversion mechanism rather than denied. Educators continue to be confused as to why they need the conversion mechanism and believe passing the test should be sufficient. Upgrade Reminders
