7 Request for Proposal (RFP)  Integration requirement: ability to integrate with RIS, HIS, speech recognition.  Support the image management: image import, compression, automated archiving, and DICOM functions.  Networking infrastructure: local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) are required  Obtain a timeline  Obtain a detailed training setting  Renovation for radiologists’ reading room: Lighting Ergonomics Acoustics Connectivity

8 Site Visit- Anytime Hospital  Their overall experience with vendor is good.  The new system has increased the workflow.  They are satisfied with the vendor’s service- good customer services quick response professional supporting staff Training  Radiologists/Physicians: one-on-one training  Technologists/system administrators: train-the-trainer (superusers)

9 Conclusion  With a new PACS implementation:  Increase the satisfaction of the staff  Providing higher quality of patient care  More patients, increase soft-dollar and hard-dollar
