1 Testing of The System This test is the Impact caused by change in the rotation angle of GPS antenna is investigated. The experimented system is clarified in figure (3). Figure (3) rotation platform simulator The GPS antenna located in rotation platform at (0) angle and then the rotation angle is varied graduate up to (360) ; the results from this test are given below. Conclusion In this work we conclude that the optimal selection of GPS antenna location on the flying objects position will have a positive effective on the accuracy of the system work because it will be able to receive the signal from highest number of satellites, even during the rotational motion. Choose the type of GPS system which is used on flying objects will have impact in improving the performance of the system, the reliability and to reduce the proportion of error in the measurements of the system. Publications  Impact the Change of the Velocity and Angles of Sight on the Performance and Accuracy of GPS (2011)  Optimal Location of GPS Antenna to Improve Performance of the System in Flying Objects (2013) Results We can see the results of the system with GPS Data and without GPS Data that the relation between rotation angles with reception Time are shown in figure (4&5), while figure (6&7) shows the effects of rotation angles on Horizontal dilution of precision (HDOP). Figure(4) Angles&Time without GPS data Figure(5) Angles&Time with GPS data Figure(6) Angles&HDOP without GPS data Figure(7) Angles&HDOP with GPS INTRODUCTION Global Positioning System (GPS) is one of the modern Navigation systems and depends on the signals received from satellite. This system has good specification such as (small size, light in weight and low cost). It gives updated information with high speed and accuracy about (position, velocity and time) at any time and location on earth or neighboring place. we design and implementation a specially made rotating platform to improve Roll movement by using Navigation data from GPS. The rotation of the platform is assumed to simulate the roll movement of flying objects. The main factor limiting the use of GPS is the requirement for line- of-sight between the receiver antenna and the satellites, which cannot always be met.. Objectives The GARMIN GPS 25LP will use in this work, its sensor boards designed for a broad spectrum of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) system application. The GPS 25LP will simultaneously track up to twelve satellites providing fast time-to-first-fix, one second navigation updates and low power consumption. The GPS 25LP communicate with the board set via a choice of two CMOS/TTL or two RS-232 compatible bi-directional communication channels. The system will begin sending valid navigation information over its output channels. These data include: position (Latitude, Longitude, and Altitude), Velocity, Date/time, Error estimates and Satellite and Receiver status.
