2. Dear friends! Welcome to Kherson State University, which is the largest university in Kherson and has level IV accreditation. Our educational institution is one of the oldest in southern Ukraine. We prepare qualified specialists in 34 specialties to be professionals in their field. Those specialists are qualified to be teachers of all subjects which are taught in schools, pre-school teachers, engineering teachers, lawyers, economists, environmentalists, psychologists, social workers, journalists, interpreters etc. Our consolidated faculty is well qualified to accomplish this task. 4. Institute of Psychology, History and Sociology as a separate department of KSU was created on July 5 th, 2004 by merging the socio-psychological and historical schools faculties. During the succinct time of existence the main task of the faculty of the Institute is training graduates in the areas of History, Psychology, Social Pedagogy and Social Work. Nowadays the Institute consists of 5 powerful departments, headed by experienced instructors. The Departments include Professors, PhD, graduate students and Instructors. About 1200 students study full-time, part-time and externally studies at the Institute. Sincerely, I.V. 5. The Institute has strong educational and material resources. Three teaching rooms, libraries, reading rooms and computer rooms of the Institute and the University are available for the students to use.

6. Students’ scientific work is very important here. We have the appropriate conditions for research work in scientific circles, concern groups and research laboratories. Every year students of the Institute participate in student contests and student research, international scientific conferences. The best students are recommended for graduate school.

7. The Institute has an annual National Scientific Conference “Actual Problems of Psychology”, academic competition in history, and National Scientific Conference of the different scientific areas; here are sections of the Small Academy of Sciences of the history, ethnology and psychology. They involve well-known experts in the fields of psychology, history and social work, as well as students and professors from other universities in Ukraine.

8. Students of the Institute have all the conditions for leisure and recreation. They are active participants in art reviews, the KSU Art Festival, sporting events, and they are actively involved in organizing and conducting meetings with leading experts of practical psychology, history and social work.

9. Our Institute trains specialists with higher educational qualification levels “Bachelor”, “Specialist” and “Master”. Training is conducted as daily full-time correspondence, part-time department and external forms at public expense as funds for organizations or persons.
