All Rights Reserved.  Oracle acquired several companies in BI space(Siebel, Hyperion, Endeca ) and markets BI under its Fusion middleware.  Ii is positioned to dominate the BI space includes competition from SAP BO, IBM Cognos, Pentaho, Tableau, Qlickview etc.  OBIEE 11g is based on a proven web service-oriented unified architecture that integrates with an organization’s existing information technology (IT) infrastructure for the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) and highest return on investment (ROI).  OBIEE Components are Oracle BI Answers/Analytics, Oracle BI Interactive Dashboards and Oracle BI Publisher.  OBIEE Servers are Console(weblogic server) and Enterprise Manager(Fusion Middleware server)  OBIEE repository tool is a Administration tool. It contains weblogic server administrator console, which is used to administer the managed server, stating, stopping managed servers  Create new users, roles and give access rights to them.  Administration server contains fusion middleware console, which is used to manage/administer OBIEE 11g components. It contains OBIEE components, these components are started the “Oracle fusion middleware console weblogic server”. It is an ad hoc query and analysis tool that process the data from multiple data sources in a pure web environment.  Users can be create interactive charts, pivot tables, reports, and dashboards.
