2 INTERREG III © University of Macedonia 2 Introduction “Greece – Bulgaria News Aggregator” Portal is a web environment for collecting and presenting information related to Greek-Bulgarian issues. “Greece – Bulgaria News Aggregator” Portal aims to offer Greek and Bulgarian Government, Business and Social bodies, easy access to information useful for policy planning and the adoption of specific actions.

3 University of Macedonia INTERREG III © University of Macedonia 3 Content “Greece- Bulgaria News Aggregator” Portal uses as information sources various European institutions’ websites which include news about administrative decisions, agreements and events taking place in Europe. List of information sources:  Europa News – EU related events  European Commission  European Parliament  Eurostat  Europa – EU press room  The Council of European Union  European Ombudsman  Eures  The European Researcher Mobility Portal  TED – Tenders Electronic Daily  Treaties Office Database

These tools automatically collect information from remote websites at specific time intervals. This enables the presence of updated information. In addition, no human effort is required for information collection.  Information is categorized depending on the source website in which it belongs. This enables users to locate a specific pieces of information.  Search functionality. Users can search for information by entering keywords or by defining information category.
