2 Writing Good Definitions: Add to your Learning Targets Handout 1.Classify Your Term. “What is it?” 2.Differentiate your term. How does it differ from others in that class? 3.Test your definition by looking for a counterexample. Example: 1.A square is a four-sided figure… 2.…that has four congruent sides and four right angles.

7 Investigation: On p. 49-50, complete the investigation with the person next to you. Based on the diagrams provided, update your definitions in your vocabulary notebook. Edit as needed. Be sure to include both a diagram and a definition for each term.
