16. PRINCIPLES It is proper to pray for yourself For God to listen, you must have a personal relationship with the Father through the Son Your motive should involve either the salvation or sanctification of others – evangelism and discipleship Your ultimate motive should be to glorify God

17. APPLICATIONS Be certain you have a personal relationship with the Father through the Son. Evaluate your prayers. How is your relationship with The One Holy Triune God affecting others? What is your #1 purpose in life? What would those you live with say is your #1 purpose in life?
