My Offering

Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made." (Isa 43:7 NAS)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Eph. 2:10 NAS)

31 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1Co 10:31 NAS)

16 "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Mat 5:16 NAS)

The unselfish labor of Christians in the past should be to us an object lesson and an inspiration. The members of God’s church are to be zealous of good works, separating from worldly ambition and walking in the footsteps of Him who went about doing good. AA109

Luke 10:25-37

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.

31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.

32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.

34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him.

35 The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

25 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" 26 And He said to him, "What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?" 27 And he answered and said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself." 28 And He said to him, "You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live." 29 But wishing to justify himself, he said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" 30 Jesus replied and said, "A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, and they stripped him and beat him, and went off leaving him half dead. 31 "And by chance a certain priest was going down on that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 "And likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. And Jesus said to him, "Go and do the same." (Luk 10:25-37 NAS) 25 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" 26 And He said to him, "What is written in the Law? 39 We have neighbors and we are neighbors*

Dear Mr. James, Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes but my spirits.

Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband’s beside just before he passed away. God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others. Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole

The most important thing we can involve ourselves in is service. Unselfish service to our fellowmen.

It supersedes weather conditions, educational background, time commitments, financial statements, political and religious preference, and especially skin color!

There are three most important action words in the world: Serve, Serve!

Christ’s Object Lesson:

Not who is my neighbor?, But:

What kind of neighbor am I?
