 INTRODUCTION  COMPONENTS  BLOCK DIAGRAM  CIRCUIT DIAGRAM  WORKING PRINCIPLE

 A simple but inexpensive inverter for using a small soldering iron (25W, 35W, etc) in the absence of mains supply.  It uses eight transistors and a few resistors and capacitors.  The a stable multivibrator produce the signal that is fed to the Darlington transistor pair.

 Darlington transistors is a combination of two transistors connected in such way that current amplified by one transistor is further amplified to get high current gain.  That high gain current is fed to power transistors pair as input.  Then the output of power transistor pair is given as input to the centre tapped transformer (12v-0-12v)

 Resistors of 1 kilo ohms  Capacitors of 0.47 micro faradays  BC547 transistors(2)  BC558 power transistors(2)  BD140 power transistors(2)  2N3055 power transistors(2)  Center tapped(12v-0-12v)transformer  Battery 12v,7Ah

 Transistors (each BC547) form an a stable multivibrator that produces 50Hz signal.  The complementary outputs from the collectors of transistors and are fed to PNP Darlington driver stages formed by transistor pairs and (utilizing BC558 and BD140).  The outputs from the drivers are fed to transistors (each 2N3055) connected for push-pull operation.  Use suitable heat-sinks for transistors

 A 230V AC primary to 12V-0-12V, 4.5A secondary transformer is used.  The centre-tapped terminal of the secondary of the transformer is connected to the battery (12V, 7Ah).  while the other two terminals of the secondary are connected to the collectors of power transistors  When you power the circuit using switch S1, transformer produces 230V AC at its primary terminal.

 This voltage can be used to heat your soldering iron Assemble the circuit on a general purpose PCB and house in a suitable cabinet.  Connect the battery and transformer with suitable current-carrying wires.  On the front panel of the box, fit power switch and a 3- pin socket for connecting the soldering iron.

 The soldering irons with inverter technology are essential in all works where the following features are required: small overall dimensions, low consumption, versatility and simplicity of use.  The application fields are Industrial maintenance Metal structural work Hydraulics Buildings

 OPERATION WITH MOTOR GENERATORS The equipment can be used with motor generators; it is necessary to operate the unit and then connect the instrument.

 It is a versatile tool  It is lighter equipment  Well suited for small electronic component  Efficiency is high  Smooth work flow

 DUTY CYCLE The high performances of this machine (160 A/40%) ensure a professional, quick, economic and constant soldering.  ENERGY SAVING The inverter reduces the energetic consumption by 40% with respect to a traditional plant with the same features.

 Not suitable for high rating component  Consumes more energy  Time taking of iron is more
