Macbeth is losing his courage and his will to kill. She, on the other hand, is taking charge. #1. Macbeth and his wife frame the two servants for the murder of King Duncan. Shakespeare writes, “I’ll guild the faces of the grooms withal, for it must seem their guilt.” Lady Macbeth takes the bloody daggers back to the scene of the crime and plants them on the servants so they will be blamed for the king’s killing.
