2 Jimmy, a Bike Boy.

3 Last week everyone was trying to cheer up Jimmy, the Bike Boy. But this week, Jimmy is happy again. On Monday he told a radio interviewer that he had run out of money to buy old bikes. He also put up some signs asking for old bikes and called up all his friends and told them about the problem. Read the article and underline all the phrasal verbs. 3a

4 He even handed out advertisements at a local supermarket. Then he told the teachers at school about his problem and they set up a call-in center for parents. The strategies that he came up with worked out fine. He now has sixteen bikes to fix up and give away to children who don’t have bikes.

10 Li Haibo, a kind and warm-hearted man. He often gives money to poor children to study. He has helped more than 15 kids. You probably think he is very rich. You are sure wrong! He makes a living by doing some hard work. He gets money by sending newspapers in the early morning. He collects bottles and paper in the morning and sells them in the afternoon. Sometimes he does the dishes in the restaurant or has some other part-time jobs at night. In a word, he does several tiring jobs every day. He thinks he is very happy because he can help kids who need help. Unluckily, he is sick now, he has no time to get money to help poor kids. He needs to come up with some way of getting money. What should he do? He doesn’t want to stop.
