Negotiation 28 organisations initially registered; now 38 organisations SMT roll-out in August 2009 12-month survey is ongoing. Deadline 15 November. To date VERY FEW feedback received 5 Modules: E-Learning tool to enhance coordination & communication 6-month survey to measure impact: rolled out - February 2010

8 Logistics Response Team Training (LRT) Participants apply their skills & knowledge in a real disaster situation A 6-day simulation training Multi-organisation facilitation team Develop humanitarian logistics response in a coordinated fashion Find synergies and share best practices Prepare logisticians to be deployed Provide immediate operational surge capacity Assume a coordination role at the onset of emergencies What Objectives

9 Logistics Response Team Training (LRT) 8 LRT trainings successfully implemented: 2 in 2007, 2 in 2008, 2 in 2009; and 2 in 2010  The next LRT is planned for April 2011. 273 logistics officers as participants or facilitators; 38 different organisations & partners have so far participated (including UN Agencies, NGOs, IOs, ICRC, IFRC, MSB, UPS, SDC and MIT) *Including Logistics Cluster, UNJLC Sudan, and Secondees to GLCSC from different UN agencies and NGOs. 156 logisticians trained  117 senior logisticians from different humanitarian organisations have facilitated the training, in addition to WFP* staff;
