17 A. Cultural Exchange Accelerates since beginnings of civilization, ppl blended cultures- this process continues today due to advanced technology and communication, cultural blending occurs at a much greater speed and over much greater distances

18 popular culture, or “pop culture”- including a group of ppl’s music, sports, movies, fashions, foods, and hobbies- is shared and blended all across the globe at impressive speeds through TV, internet, music… in 20th century, ideas and culture from the west, esp. US, very dominant in shaping cultures around the world
