Programme of today Short overview of status modelling and data RBE and measures Long list of measures Strategies (afternoon) 5 May 20152

Overview status modelling 5 May 20153

Overview data 5 May 20154 Most needed: Industrial loads Priority substances

RBE and measures 5 May 20155

Measures Measures have to be defined in relation to ecological key factors Three types of measures: point sources diffuse sources ecological measures Cost of measures 5 May 20156

Definition of measures in RBE Top left: general characteristics: ID (user defined) Name (user defined) Type (point source, diffuse source, ecological measure) Objects (automatically) Variables (automatically) Top right: detailed information: Type of emission source (agriculture/WWTP/...) Substance affected by measure Lower half: measures are assigned to nodes by table or map 5 May 20157

Cost module in RBE In the cost module the following data can be specified: Investment: costs for financing the measure or measure collection Depreciation period: this is the life span over which the value of the measure or measure collection is reduced to 0 and should be equal to the time period needed to pay back the investment. Maintenance: costs to maintain the measure or measure collection. The assumption is made that maintenance is perpetual. Land costs: for some measures or measure collections acquisition of land is necessary. Depreciation period of land: normally these costs are very low, but it is included for the sake of transparency Data about costs must still be gathered. Homework! 5 May 20158
