8 Working On-Line (BG) 8 E-Mail: Exercise 1a- Set up Account 1) Think about your account name and personal information 2) Open browser to www.yahoo.com www.yahoo.com Notice you were “redirected” to https://login.yahoo.com/config/login_verify2?&.src=ym&rl=1 3) Click on “Create New Account” 4) Enter required information. Check availability of account name. Enter password. Review Terms of Service. Type in the code. Click “Create my account.” 5) Click “Continue”

13 Working On-Line (BG) 13 E-Mail: Exercise 2a- Use Account 1) If you haven’t, log in to yahoo.com 2) Look at the tools on the top- compose, delete, … 3) Look at the folders on the left- Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Spam, Trash, Folders, 4) Click on Inbox, and click on a mail you received from “Yahoo!” that says “Welcome to Yahoo!” 5) Notice how the buttons above the message change slightly 6) Return to the In-box.

14 Working On-Line (BG) 14 E-Mail: Exercise 2b- Use Account 6. Notice that the mail you read is no longer bold 7. Click on the box to the left of the message you just read. Click the “Forward” button. In the “TO” field, type bear2.71828@yahoo.com bear2.71828@yahoo.com 8. In the big text area, above Forwarded Message, type a short message saying hello to & hit send 9. Click the Done button to return to your inbox. 10. In the search box portion of the yahoo mail page, type bear and click the Search Mail button. See the message from your Sent folder? 11. Find the sign out button, and click it to sign out
