2. Joshua 22:5 (NIV) “But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the L ORD gave you: to love the L ORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

3. Luke 10:25-28 (NIV) On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

4. Psalm 18:16-19 (NIV) He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the L ORD was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

5. Psalm 147:10-11 (NIV) His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of the warrior; the L ORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.

He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

A sword will flash in their cities; it will devour their false prophets and put an end to their plans. My people are determined to turn from me. Even though they call me God Most High, I will by no means exalt them.

13. Hosea 11:8-9 (NIV) “How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboyim? My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused. I will not carry out my fierce anger, nor will I devastate Ephraim again. For I am God, and not a man— the Holy One among you. I will not come against their cities.
