22 GENOCIDE IN BOSNIA In an attempt to keep his hold over all of the former Yugoslavia, Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic began ethnically cleansing non-Serbs in Bosnia- Herzegovina and Croatia. Murder, rape and concentration camps were rampant. In order to end the genocide, President Clinton sent troops to lead a NATO invasion.
