I participated in a class on fashion photography and lighting, as well as researched fashion photography techniques and their relationship to current rends in non- traditional wedding photography and portraiture. I also took part in a mock trash the dress photoshoot with Pepper Dawson, a San Diego wedding photographer.

11. My students completed a portrait assignment where we looked at a variety of portrait styles including fashion and wedding photography and talked about job paths in those areas. My students used studio lighting and location lighting techniques to achieve the lighting effects they wanted. Students watched a slide show and demonstration of studio lighting, looked at work by a variety of photographers then chose a specific style/type of portraiture then worked in the lighting studio or outside within an environment to create compelling photographic imagery.
