5 Mahara Pages A key structural element of the Mahara ePortfolio is pages. Essentially, pages are like the individual webpages that form an ePortfolio. Pages can contain a wide range of media files and web-applications. They can also be used to display any part of a users ePortfolio. Pages are copyable, meaning that a page can also be considered a template. A wide range of templates can therefore be easily distributed among students to scaffold their initial introduction to the ePortfolio environment or to support teaching and learning and any stage of a student’s program. In Mahara pages can be grouped together to form collections. https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/User_Guide5

6 ePortfolio Groups Groups in the learnonline ePortfolio offer a range of powerful functionality that allow a groups of student or staff of any size to operate an autonomous zone or ‘walled garden’ within the ePortfolio. Groups have Forums through which you can communicate with tutors and friends. Group owners and members are able to start new Forums and post and reply to topics. Some of the other functionality is available in a tab structure within the group itself. There are 3 main membership settings: 1) Open group membership 2) Controlled group membership 3) Request group membership. You may create as many Groups as you wish. https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/User_Guide6
