3 In order to choose the most appropriate bank, you need to compare the features and costs of the accounts offered by different financial institutions. You must also consider the way you are going to use the account i.e. which fea- tures and fees would accommodate you best. Some things to look at are as follows:  Do they offer a checking and/or savings account?  Automatic deposit and payment  ATM fees  Debit card fees  Online banking  Money transfers  Overdraft protection Debit card– deducts money from your own account from money that you have available. You use a pin. Credit card– is not your own money, you will owe the money you spend in the future, you are required to pay back what you use at a later date.
