 Clockwork refers to the inside workings of either a mechanism clock ( where it is also called a movement ) or another device that operates in a similar fashion (such as a dial indicator ). Specifically, the term refers to mechanisms utilizing a complex series of gears. One of the earliest known examples of a clockwork mechanism is the Antikythera mechanism, a first-century BC geared invention for calculating star positions, recovered from a greek shipwreck. What is a Clockwork?

 Friedrich von Knauss invented the the first clockwork. He was a German watchmaker and famously made, with his brother, the Kaiserliche Vorsterllungsuhr (the Imperial Representation watch ) in 1750 commemorating the tenth anniversary of Mary Theresia’s rise to the throne. He died in 1778. Who invented the Clockwork?

  Antikythera, the first Clockwork mechanism, was invented in 600AD-800AD by Greek inventers. When was the first clockwork mechanism invented?

  Wind up toys  Leaf shutters  Light houses  Mechanical calculators  Music boxes  Phonographs before 1930  Clockwork radios  Clocks (alarm) What are the uses of clockworks?

 A paddle steamer is a steamship or riverboat powered by a steam engine that drives paddle wheels to propel the craft through the water. In antiquity, paddle wheelers followed the development of poles, oars and sails, where the first uses were. Wheelers driven by animals or humans. Modern paddle wheelers may be powered by diesel engines. Save for tourism and small pleasuer boats (paddle boats) paddle proppelling is largely taken place by the screw propeller and other marine proppelling that have a higher effiecency, especially in rough waters or open waters. What are paddleboats?

 A windmill is a machine that converts the energy of wind into rotational energy by means of vanes called sails or blades. The reason for the name "windmill" is that the devices originally were developed for milling grain for food production; the name stuck when in the course of history, windmill machinery was adapted to supply power for many industrial and agricultural needs other than milling. The majority of modern windmills take the form of wind turbines used to generate electricity, or wind pumps used to pump water, either for land drainage or to extract groundwater. windmill, device for tapping the energy of the wind by means of sails mounted on a rotating shaft. The sails are mounted at an angle or are given a slight twist so that the force of wind against them is divided into two components, one of which, in the plane of the sails, imparts rotation. Like waterwheels, windmills were among the originalThe use of windmills was increasingly widespread in Europe from the 12th century until the early 19th century. Their slow decline, because of the development of steam power, lasted for a further 100 years. Their rapid demise began following World War I with the development of the internal-combustion engine and the spread of electric power; from that time on, however, electrical generation by wind power has served as the subject of more and more experiments. prime movers that replaced human beings as a source of power. What are Windmills?

 The windmill of the Greek engineer Heron of Alexandria in the first century (AD)is the earliest known instance of using a wind-driven wheel to power a machine. Another early example of a wind driven wheel was the prayer wheel, which was used in ancient Tibet and China since the fourth century. It has been claimed that the Babylonian emperor Hammurabi planned to use wind power for his ambitious irrigation project in the seventeenth century (BC). Each windmill today still works the same way as the very first (the earliest) water mill worked. Persian millwrights, taken prisoner by the forces of Genghis Khan, were sent to China to instruct in the building of windmills; their use for irrigation there has lasted ever since. Windmills in antiquity

 A wind turbine is a device that converts kinetic energy from the wind into electrical power. A wind turbine used for charging batteries may be referred to as a wind charger. Wind turbines generate electricity at home with small-scale wind turbines. Wind turbines harness the power of the wind and use it to generate electricity. So the wind turbines convert the wind energy into electricity that we can use. wind turbine, apparatus used to convert the kinetic energy of wind into electricity. Wind turbines come in several sizes, with small-scale models used for providing electricity to rural homes or cabins and community-scale models used for providing electricity to a small number of homes within a community. At industrial scales, many large turbines are collected into wind farms located in rural areas or offshore. The term windmill, which typically refers to the conversion of wind energy into power for milling or pumping, is sometimes used to describe a wind turbine. However, the term wind turbine is widely used in mainstream references to renewable energy. Wind Turbines

 Steam power constitutes an important power source for industrial society. Water is heated to steam in power plants, and the pressurized steam drives turbines that produce electrical current. The thermal energy of steam is thus converted to mechanical energy, which in turn is converted into electricity. The steam used to drive turbogenerators furnishes most of the world’s electric power.
