2. YOU are the SALT! Matthew 5:13 Jesus said: “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”

3. Salt is a symbol of purity and preservation from corruption. Salt is a symbol of personal holiness.

4. You are called to live a holy life before God – set apart to Him – and not to allow yourself to be corrupted by the world!

5. Jesus is the Bread John 6:47,48 Jesus said: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life.

6. The Bread became flesh Matthew 26:26 “And as they were eating, Jesus took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take eat; this is My body.”

7. Two kinds of Righteousness Jesus - the living bread: Imputed Righteousness by Grace Salt: Personal Righteousness, a clean and holy life

8. GOD, HIMSELF, STANDS BY THE SALT COVENANT 2 Chron 13:4,5 “Hear me, Jeroboam and all Israel: Should you not know that the Lord God of Israel gave the dominion over Israel to David forever, to him and his sons, by a covenant of salt?

9. The Covenant of Salt is for You today! You are the salt and salt produces thirst. Believers should thirst for God and their lives should create a thirst for God in others.

10. Examine your life for: #1 Imputed Righteousness – have you received the free gift of righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ? #2 Personal Righteousness – Are you living a holy life?

11. Be the salt of the earth!
