Andrew Rosay’s Poetry Collection Poetry Café 2009

The Me I See in Me I play the guitar I get better and better I play hide and seek I’m never a quitter I play by the beach With the cool ocean breeze I often get stung by evil little bees Lego comes to life In my stop action movies I always stay quiet But I can cause a riot

The Bravery My Grandpa Had My grandpa was very brave He fought in the war His people he had to save Now let me tell you more He fought for his right He was made a prisoner And lost all his might To the Nazis he was a worker Never did he frown But memories did haunt him He knew “He” was looking down And shining a light on him

My Faith Journey Cherished and loved now Protected by one above With shining armour Tempted by evil Slowly fading away now Evil prospering Overcome with hardship Rejoice that the battle is won Live and rest in peace

Night Fall The trees whisper words The wind sings elegantly The birds chirp for joy Water flows ever faster Sunsets slower, night has come

My Family is a Beach My mom is the ocean that cools everyone down, My dad is a sandcastle that can withstand many hardships. My sister is the sand that is usually soft and cool. My brother is the seaweed that is good to have around. And I am the crab that lurks around observing everyone Together we all form one wonderful beach

The Old Factory Clank Creak Wank Crack Is falling apart Crack Whack Smack Pow And is now coming down Crash Smash Wank Boom

The Guitar The smooth soft surface of the guitar is made of wood sometimes The rough raging sound of rock rings in your ears The chords compel the choirs of Angels to sing The music makes many people rock out The beat becomes beloved by all All of this because of the guitar

Farewell Tie the strings to my life, my lord, Then I am ready to go! Just a look at the horses-- Rapid! That will do! Put me on the firmest side, So I shall never fall; For we must ride to the Judgment, And it is partly down hill But never I mind the bridges, And never I mind the sea; Held fast in everlasting race By my own choice and thee Good-by to the life I used to live, And the world I used to know; And kiss the hills for me, just once; Now I am ready to go Emily Dickinson
