Edit the text with your own short phrases. Make it easier to change the pictures: Use the Selection Pane to temporarily hide a Picture Placeholder. (Home tab, Select, Selection Pane). Click the eye icon to hide or show an object. To change the sample images, select a picture and delete it. Now click the Pictures icon in the placeholder to insert your own image. The animation is already done for you; just copy and paste the slide into your existing presentation. Group Factoring

Group Factoring If a polynomial has 4 terms, we need to try factor by grouping. Factor by grouping is a special type of GCF problem. There is not a GCF of the whole problem, but there is one for each half. So, we will split the middle, and find the GCF of each half. Once we factor each half, the parentheses have to match!! What is in the parentheses becomes part of our answer, and what was outside parentheses is the other part.

Group Factoring Continued Two Things To Remember: 1.If nothing factors out, your GCF is 1. 2.If your first term is negative, take the negative as part of the GCF.
