9 Pre-deployment Training | 9 Insurance What kinds of insurance do you have?  Life Insurance/SGLI?  Homeowner’s or Renter’s Insurance.  Who is beneficiary on the policies?  Car Insurance?  When is the premium due?  Is the coverage amount enough?

10 Pre-deployment Training | 10 ID Cards and TRICARE  ID card gives access to Army services  Enrollment in DEERS is key to medical services  TRICARE provides inpatient and outpatient care, prescriptions, medical equipment, and medical supplies  TRICARE also provides mental health care

11 Pre-deployment Training | 11 Servicemembers’ Civil Relief Act – 2003 (SCRA) Under the SCRA you may qualify for any or all of the following:  Reduced interest rate on mortgage payments, credit card debt and car payments  Protection from mortgage foreclosure, seizure of property secured by the mortgage  Protection from eviction if your rent is $2,400 or less  Delay of all civil court actions such as bankruptcy, foreclosure or divorce
