1 Tk20 Guide Policies and Procedures Handbook

3 First Step Your first step is to register for Tk20. If you want to use university financial aid $ you can make the purchase at the University Bookstore – it costs more through the bookstore. You can also purchase Tk20 on-line at: http://westga.tk20.com/campustoolshighered/start.do Additional information can always be found at: http://westga.tk20.com/campustoolshighered/start.do

4 After you have an Account After you have your account set up you will always access your account through the MyUWG log in page. Click on Log On Enter your username - first part of your e-mail address such as dputney1 and then enter your password

5 After you log in to myUWG click on the External Resources tab Then click on COE Tk20

6 Click on Continue to Tk20

7 Click on the “Portfolios” tab at the top

8 Click on “SLM M.Ed./Add-On Portfolio

9 These are the four tabs you will use throughout the program NEVER click on the Artifact Wizard Always click on the Save button when you have completed any task. Do NOT click on the Submit for Review button until you are told to do that in the Practicum course.

10 Four Portfolio Tabs Throughout the program you will repeatedly use the four portfolio tabs you see at the top of the screen: – Policies and Procedures Handbook – Impact on Learning – Professional Practice – Roles/Exit Presentation The following slides will walk you through each of those tabs.

11 Policies and Procedures Handbook The first tab is the Policies and Procedures Handbook section. As you complete sections of the handbook in a course, you will upload those individual sections in this tab. You can upload the sections as Word documents or as PDF files.

12 NEVER click on the Artifact Wizard Click on the Policies and Procedures Handbook tab Always click on the Save button when you have completed any task. Do NOT click on the Submit for Review button until you are told to do that in the Practicum course.

13 These instructions are the same as posted in the courses.

14 Table of Contents is the same as posted in courses Click here to enter the Policies and Procedures Handbook area If you have already completed most of your handbook and have already merged it into one document, click here and attach the one large file.

15 As you have a section of the handbook completed (after it has been graded in the course) you will browse for your Word or PDF document and upload it.

16 Again as you have a section ready you will browse for and upload a Word or PDF document Always click “Add” after you upload a document and SAVE! SAVE! SAVE! (Not Submit)
