Lead from the front Texas Nodal http://nodal.ercot.com 3 Antitrust Admonition ANTITRUST ADMONITION ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust laws. The ERCOT Board has approved guidelines for members of ERCOT Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to be reviewed and followed by each Market Participant attending ERCOT meetings. Lead from the front Texas Nodal http://nodal.ercot.com 4 Updates and Progress RARF Metrics Overall –Status for the past week: Iteration 2 has concluded All Iteration 3 Audit Reports have been sent –These will be sent within 1 day of receipt until 12/12/08 Total RARF’s Accepted: 181 (up from 133) RARF’s left to correct: 51 (down from 98) –17 RARF’s returned, but still contain errors (during iteration 2) –34 RARF’s have not been revised and sent to ERCOT for iteration 2 »2 have never been sent in (unchanged) –Note that Load RARF’s are now measured in the previous numbers now. Current production quality metric = 98.8% 1.2% of the issues are now spread across 22% of the RARFs –51 sites that cannot be loaded into the model –In Sept we had 4765 errors across all RARF’s –Today we have 862 errors across all RARF’s (3903 errors corrected!!)

Iteration 3 Has Started –Audit Reports sent only to those that had submitted late in iteration 2 (no full run of audits) –The Audit Report you hold is all that need be fixed for RARF Resource Data e.g. when you’re done, you’re done (again, with the RARF resource data) –Account Managers will call all RE’s with outstanding RARF corrections –As we are in the final few weeks of this leg of the project, ERCOT management will escalate any non-responders This is to ensure that your site is included in the model Those that are not included in the model, risk not participating in critical market trials as well as incremental nodal qualification Iteration 3 concludes on 12/12 –There is very little buffer for RARF’s not received on 12/12/08

Lead from the front Texas Nodal http://nodal.ercot.com 6 Common Issues Rejected RARF’s –RARF’s that have basic problems will have their service request rejected Examples of basic problems: –Wrong company name (must be legal name on file with ERCOT) »If you are unsure, contact your account manager AND nodalmarkettransition@ercot.com nodalmarkettransition@ercot.com –Wrong DUNs number –Unit Code, Site Name, etc is incorrect –Individual submitting the RARF is not the Authorized Representative ERCOT is unable to load these in order to run an audit report Any correction contained in the RARF will not be applied until issue is resolved After correcting this, please submit the corrections under a NEW service request (adding to the rejected one will delay processing)

Lead from the front Texas Nodal http://nodal.ercot.com 7 Common Issues RE’s submitting RARF using the alternate process (not a service request via TML) –REMINDER OF ALTERNATE PROCESS: An alternate email signature document is available upon request from your ERCOT Account Manger for those that have technical problems submitting via the TML portal. The RARF would then be emailed in both portable document format (pdf) and Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (xls) format, along with the signature document to: MPAPPL@ERCOT.COMMPAPPL@ERCOT.COM –When submitting via this process, please also include nodalmarkettransition@ercot.com on the email nodalmarkettransition@ercot.com This will allow the registration team to work in parallel with the legal department and provide you an audit report more quickly
