18. Contemporary South American Artists  Olga de Amaral lives and works in Bogotá, Colombia. Amaral is a renowned textile artist whose evolving technique transforms two-dimensional textiles into three- dimensional objects.  Milton Becerra is a Venezuelan artist born in 1951. He studied photography but currently specializes in installation art.  Jose Bedia is a native of Havana Cuba, and has work in many important museums worldwide. Bedia has created a unique synthesis of the artistic traditions of Africa and the indigenous Americas.
