Also there is are new HMC performance views and information about the performance and capacity information of the CEC. In addition there is a facility called “one-touch” vios deployment which allows the VIO server image to be deployed from the HMC into the infrastructure initially Partition and system templates allow for the capturing of best practices and allow for repeatable deployments for both system and application LPARs SRIOV support initially is for a SRIOV network card. This optimizes IO virtualization by moving this function to the hardware IO card. It allows for quality of service settings to each VF or virtual function which is a virtual network card which can be assigned to directly to the VM or to the VIO server. For configurations that require Live Partition Mobility this VF should be assigned to a shared Ethernet adapter 21 21
