Assign Budget to Accounts, Object Codes, Positions, and Lines. Feed Assigned Budget on Accounts and Object Codes to UAccess Financials. Report on Budget by Orgs, Accounts, Object Codes, Positions and Lines within UAccess Analytics. Transactions via RBCs

2) How Does Budget Data Flow Through Our Systems?

3) So Then Why Do We Budget by Line and Position?

State Reporting Requirements - Position Line is a Placeholder in the Absence of a Position Line is a Flexible Field Can be assigned from 0.0001 to 7999.9999 Stacking, sorting, and setting aside funds Can cross multiple accounts within Org Kindly Request You Maintain Perm Lines on State and Locally Allocated Accounts

4) I Hear Tale There Are New RBC Rules? Why? What Do They Mean?

Cannot move between allocated sub-funds. BRs on budgeted revenue and BTs on allocated funds. Line limits and dollar warnings.

4) I Hear Tale There Are New RBC Rules? Why? What Do They Mean?

No BRs or BTs for any accounts in the following fund/sub-fund group combinations: ST-BILL, ST-STAUD, ST-SUSGE, DI-IDCREG, OR- AUDRES, OR-FWSGRT, OR-GOVGRT, ORPRVSCH, OR-STNONA. 4. 16 5) This RCM Business… Can You Show Me Funds Flow? Is My Perm Budget Going to Change?

6) Why is RCM Allocation Loaded as Perm if Tuition Amount Change Every Year?

6) Why is RCM Allocation Loaded as Perm if Tuition Amounts Change Every Year? Perm = Base RCM calculates Subvention and Allocation using Base. Revising the operational base of a college (or support center) allows us to revise the calculations in the Model. Base is more stable than Temp. Temp changes with carryforward, plus daily with inter-college movement.

7) If the RCM Allocation Loaded Goes Unspent Will It Rollover at the End of the Year?

Yes. Let’s look at the RBC again. You can see it was loaded as both Base and Current Year Cash (Temp).

8) If RCM is Just an Allocation Tool, Then Can You Explain What Has Changed in Accounting? How Is Revenue Accounted For?

No major changes Institutional revenues are still recorded in institutional accounts. Summer/Winter, AISS/Online/Outreach – Distributed to accounts Fall/Spring Base – Distributed according to Model as Base Departmental/College Tuition Accounting PFDT – Direct post to College accounts Institutional and College Expenditures Remain Model Distributes Costs

8) If RCM is Just an Allocation Tool, Then Can You Explain What Has Changed in Accounting? How Is Revenue Accounted For? TL;DR No, RCM does not change accounting. Analogy – Federal Income Taxes, Paycheck (W4) vs. Tax Return (Model)

9) If We Receive a Budget Reduction (State General Fund Reduction), Then Will that Flow Through the RCM Model Too?

TBD – Question for Senior Leadership and RCM Steering Committees

10) I don’t read your annoying emails or check the UAccess Community Forum, so can you tell me what’s new in the magical world of UA Budgeting? (paraphrased)

10) I don’t read your annoying emails or check the UAccess Community Forum, so can you tell me what’s new in the magical world of UA Budgeting? Training New Analytics Reports Account Closure and Open Documents (FSO website)
