2 NORMAL ADJECTIVES Some adjectives are normal (or base) adjectives.
good, bad, dirty, pretty, cold, hot etc

3 fantastic, awful, filthy, gorgeous etc.
STRONG ADJECTIVES Other adjectives are strong (or extreme) adjectives. fantastic, awful, filthy, gorgeous etc.

4 very – really – absolutely + adjective
STRONG ADJECTIVES very – really – absolutely + adjective We can only use "absolutely" with a strong adjective e.g. "absolutely fantastic." We can only use "very" with a base adjective e.g. "very good." "Very fantastic" or "absolutely good" are wrong. However we can use "really" with both base or strong adjectives.
