20. LUNAR ECLIPSE FACTS A lunar eclipse may be viewed from anywhere on the night side of the Earth because the Earth’s shadow is so large. Must be a full moon. A lunar eclipse lasts for a few hours, a total solar eclipse last for only a few minutes.
