1 The Polish White Eagle A thousand years ago there lived three brothers, Lech, Czech, and Rus. The families grew larger and they needed more space. The brothers decided to travel in different directions to search for new homes.

2 ● They traveled long and the brothers decided to travel in different directions to search for new homes. Czech went to the left, Rus went to the right and Lech rode straight. Rus setted up Russia and Czech – Czech Republic.

3 ● One day Lech saw the eagle's nest. ● "Here is where we will stay! We will call this place GNIEZNO." declared Lech. ● They called themselves Polans. They made a banner with a white eagle on a red field and flew it over the town of Gniezno which became the first historical capital of Poland.
