EuroCRIS services project Goals: Installing a CERIF reference implementation at euroCRIS Services web space. Technical: deploying a mysql version (already available for download) Content: filling this reference DB with data (from euroCRIS itself (publications); members, open aire, engage, national systems, publishers) Developing a CERIF compliance testing application based on this reference implementation (step 1. “Bronze” CERIF-XML compliancy) Developing application for output/exposure of various formats from the CERIF-reference DB: CERIF-XML, LOD, DC, Mods-Didl,... Developing application(s) showing the added value of CERIF-based contextual metadata (on top of or as addtion to LOD-applications, Repositories). (e.g. not only finding publications of an author, but also his professional network, the projects he works on, etc...).

EuroCRIS services project Time frame: first working prototypes to be demo-ed at Members Meeting in Bonn. Steps: Setup of a project organization (to be decided now – 01/2013) Coordination by TG Leader Projects. Participants: TG-leaders Architecture, CERIF, LOD, CRIS-IR, vendors (Atira, Avedas, Thomson-Reuters) Project plan to be presented to the Board for approval (by 15 th of February ?) Installation of CERIF-reference DB (by end of February ?) Filling with data. (March ?)

EuroCRIS services project Working out prototype of “Bronze” compliance application (March-May?) Output formats application. (March-April ?) First use cases showing the added value/possibilities of CERIF based contextual metadata for finding/retrieving more complete and relevant research information. (April-May?)

EuroCRIS services project Available funding: 4 * € 5.000 from the vendors. € 15.000 from euroCRIS “Work Force”: TG-leaders, vendors, master students.

EuroCRIS services project Issue: choice of web content management platform for the euroCRIS Services environment (including also other services as e.g. described by Valerie). Given work already done by the LOD-TG, DRUPAL may be the right choice. See also Valerie's suggestion to use the LMS DRUPAL Open Scholar.
