Chilworth Process Safety Services Facilities: Chilworth has all the facilities, which are essential to provide top-quality process safety services to Indian/ Asian clients independently. These facilities also add values to our process safety expertise and help us in solving even complex process safety problems. Major facilities include 1) process safety testing laboratory together with a well-equipped engineering workshop and research & development center 2) process safety simulation software. Chilworth make use of ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited laboratory for process hazard testing and is further classified into 3 main categories 1) Fire and Explosion Laboratory 2) Chemical Reaction Laboratory 3) Electrostatic Laboratory.

The laboratory is equipped with the specialist equipment and explosion chambers (for high press & temp flammability and thermal instability testing). It is capable of generating the test data related to: Dust fires and explosions Gas/ vapour flammability Electrostatic hazards and problems Runaway Chemical Reaction Characterization Thermal instability Explosive properties determination Physical properties determination Regulatory testing Transport of dangerous goods requirements (UN transport tests)

Our process safety simulation software includes BP CIRRUS, DNV PHAST, PHA PRO, HAZOP Manager and Chilworth DSS (Desktop Safety System). These simulation models are mainly used for quantitative risk assessment, consequence analysis, primary screening of reactivity hazards of organic chemicals, HAZOP, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Determination, hazard assessment etc. Chilworth also has access to the Expertise, Facilities, Technical Staff and other resources of Chilworth Group companies. Many specialist journals, papers, books and national/ international standards and guidelines such as BIS, BS, NFPA, IEC, OISD etc. are housed in company’s own library.
