9 EXPONENTS: I’ve Got the Power!  Exponential form is a way of writing repeated multiplication It looks like this: 3 2 and it represents 3 × 3  Base: is the number in exponential form that is being multiplied by itself  Exponent: the number, in the exponential form, indicating how many times the base is multiplied by itself.  Power: Another way to express exponential form  “ 3 to the power of 2” is the same as 3 2
