General Information About the Charity - Charity Walk for Peace Our mission is to help society, to support charitable endeavours, to work to secure the common good, to demonstrate loyalty to country and nation, and to defend the dignity of mankind. The Charity Walk for Peace is founded in the service of humanity, rooted in the call of duty and inspired by the love of God. Drawing motivation from the tenets of Islam which regard service to humanity as a moral prerogative, a spiritual privilege and a religious duty, the Charity Walk for Peace aims to relieve the suffering of the poor, the destitute and the marginalised, and to promote peace, understanding and goodwill amongst people of all walks of life. Love for All Hatred for None

General Information About the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association Love for All Hatred for None We are the elders of our community – the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association. We have been established here in the UK since 1913. A truly peace loving community who's objectives are spread the true message of Islam. For more than one hundred years the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been leading a peaceful revival of Islam. From the time it was founded in India in 1889 it has enjoyed an unrivalled record for peace and for its efforts to build cohesive societies. A community that stands for education, integration and interfaith peace. We welcome all to visit our mosques as well as our numerous seminars and events that bring people together to understand more about each other. 6 General Information Nominating Charities Love for All Hatred for None As the Muslim Elders Association, our strategy is raise funds and donate those funds to established local, regional, national, and international charities to help the most deserving of people. Any member of the public is able to nominate a charity of their choosing. Our executive committee shall review the work the nominated charity offers and, after a due diligence process, the charity is able to become a beneficiary of the funds collected. The process is very simple and the more charities we can assist the better. Find out more on charitywalkforpeace.org or contact us using the details provided at the end of this presentation.

General Information Matched Funding Love for All Hatred for None We have thousands of volunteers who use various methods to collect funds. These include the traditional sponsorship forms; bucket and tin collection; charity dinners and corporate funding. We then use these funds to match, up to a maximum of £5,000 per charity, the funds collected by the specific charity. So, as an example, if a charity raises £7,500 using our JustGiving ® event or collection is made on our sponsorship forms, then we shall match- fund by donating a total of £12,500. The matched-funding scheme is primarily focused at helping the smaller local charities to work with us and create awareness for the work we do together to help and assist the most deserving. You can contact us or complete the online form on our website.

General Information Charity Champions Love for All Hatred for None Every year, men, woman, and children raise thousands of pounds for charitable causes. Amongst these great people are those that work tirelessly to raise £1000 individually, some raising as much as £15,000! To recognise such amazing achievement we say a big THANK YOU to them and honour them and the charities who use that money to help the needy with a special dinner where we shall present to the audience with exhibitions and productions of the work our beneficiaries perform and we shall also be awarding our new Charity Champions boxed jacket and blouse badges.

General Information Working With Us Love for All Hatred for None Everybody is Welcome!! Every year we not only donate more but we make new friends. This year alone over 50 charities have been nominated as a beneficiaries of the walk 2016, with many attending the walk, including schools, charity organisations, church and faith groups, MP’s, Mayors and Councillors. As long as we all focus on our principle objective - Our mission is to help society, to support charitable endeavours, to work to secure the common good, to demonstrate loyalty to country and nation, and to defend the dignity of mankind. then we can make a great difference to those less fortunate and work together in total harmony.

Charity Walk 2016 I am delighted the annual Ahmadiyya Muslim Association’s Charity Walk for Peace is being held in Newham this year. This is the most ethnically diverse place in England and Wales and the Association’s aims mirror our work to develop strong, cohesive and integrated local communities. As well as bringing people from a wide range of backgrounds and faiths together, these walks also raise money for local and national good causes. I hope this year’s walk proves to be the most successful yet. Mayor Sir Robin Wales, elected Mayor of Newham Charity Walk for Peace 2016 Welcome by Sir Robin Wales Love for All Hatred for None
