3. First Step Obtain requirements for the hard drive. Select the hard drive that best suits you. Purchase the hard drive.

4. Second Step Remove the existing hard drive and set the new one in place. Then screw it in and plug in the power and data cables. Put the computer case back on.

6. Third Step Put the boot disk or startup disk in the A:\ drive. Get the disk ready for Windows Me.

7. Fourth Step Next type in D:\ at the C:\ prompt or use whatever letter your CD drive is. Then hit enter. Put in the Windows Me CD in the CD drive, and at the D:\ prompt type in setup and hit enter to start the setup program.

8. Fourth Step continued In the setup program enter all the information to install Windows Me. The install takes about 20 to 25 mins. After this process is done Windows is installed.

18. Finally Once Windows has been installed check to make sure that you system has been loaded right and that all your devices and peripherals are working properly.
