11 11 Who can take part in Grundtvig? All types of organisations with direct or indirect role in AL –Learning providers –Local and regional authorities –NGOs at local, regional or national level –Cultural organisations (museums, libraries etc.) –Prisons, hospitals, homes for senior citizens etc. Everyone working in or with such organisations, e.g.: –Teaching staff –Directors, managers, administrative staff –Guidance and counselling staff –Inspectorate –People working as intermediaries with ethnic minorities –Staff of all kinds at organisations such as hospitals or prisons –Adult learners

12 12 Centralised actions  Multilateral Projects improving AE systems through the development and transfer of innovation and good practice  Multilateral Networks of experts and organisations working on developing AE, spreading good practices and supporting partnerships - Thematic networks - Project networks  Accompanying measures adult support activities which, though not eligible under the main actions, will contribute to achieving the programme's objectives http://eacea.ec.europa/

22 22 Grundtvig Assistantships  To strengthen the qualification profile of AE staff  To improve the quality of AE provisions in Europe  For any category of « staff » at any time of their « career »  >12 weeks – 45 weeks

23 23 Senior Volunteering Projects  New learning opportunity for senior citizens  2-year project between local organisations from 2 LLP countries (incl. min. 1 EU MS)  Each organisation should send 2-6 volunteers and host 2-6 volunteers  Mobility of volunteers: 3 – 8 weeks  Volunteers should be adult citizens aged 50 or above

24 24 Grundtvig Workshops To stimulate increased adult learner mobility Innovative multinational learning experience –Relevant to learners’ personal development and learning needs –Learners from at least 3 countries (incl. host) Workshops of 5-6 days on any subject or theme, in the country of the applicant organisation

25 25 OVER 3.500 LEARNER MOBILITY IN NEW ACTIONS IN 2009  Over 200 Grundtvig Workshops  Over 80 partner organisations in Senior Volunteering Projects  Over 3.200 adult learners participating in Workshops  Over 400 senior volunteers participating in SV Projects
