1. Revision Session 2: Sustainability continued All products have a lifecycle. It starts when it is manufactured and goes through to when it is eventually disposed of and possibly recycled. At the end of a products life it is sometimes recycled or will go into a landfill. There are three types of recycling Primary, Secondary and Tertiary.

Primary, Secondary and Tertiary  TASK: Read the definitions of the 3 types of recycling Primary Recycling – Second-hand use of a product without changing or altering the product, such as giving clothes to a charity shop or selling on ebay, leaving newspapers & magazines in a dentist/doctors surgery for other people to read. It is simply to reuse it. Secondary Recycling – mechanically cutting/altering the product in some way to use it in another way (without the use of chemicals), such as cutting up magazines to use as a collage, cutting a plastic bottle in half to use as a plant pot.
