Sustainability is about imagining a bright future: and then acting to deliver those values in the real world of constant change Sustainability's 1 st rule is ‘to align with natural forces, or at least not try to defy them’ (Paul Hawken) Environment, Social, Economic, Governance integration 2000-50 will see the world’s fastest physical and biological change since the meteor that killed the dinosaurs

Recognise we are actively working on sustainability already: So all at once. 1.Clarify the common goals and keep work focused 2.Capture good ideas and change them from initiatives to projects 3.Consolidate current work 4.Make it easy and interesting for everybody to contribute 5.Create opportunity for staff to learn & challenge the process 6.Write a clear strategy for choosing projects & approaches 7.Continually monitor and assess performance and progress 8.Recognise and celebrate the achievements

MISSION AlburyCity will improve Albury’s liveability by delivering equitable and imaginative solutions now and into the future. We will lead changes in community behaviour by challenging thoughts, processes and actions.

15 How to get many good sustainability ideas to market ?

16 A SUSTAINABILITY FRAMEWORK Make sustainability part of everything we do, not just an add on (Use the OH&S, Risk management models). Include it in branding, networking & education. Use information tools like databases, the intranet & the website. 4 types of document: Policy, Strategy, Project Profiles, & Monitoring. Many ideas, 10-20 Projects, 8 COP Groups / Programmes, 1 x Forum.
