1 Installation of Software and Registration of Device After successful registration of a retailer in mFMS, the retailer is ready to use POS device. The retailers can download and install the software onto the POS device from mfms.nic.in. The retailer needs to register his POS device with mFMS server by entering the Dealer Id along with the 4 digit PIN provided at the time of dealer registration. The mFMS Server captures the MAC Address of device as sent by the POS device and binds it with the Dealer Id and pin. POS registration is successfully completed

2 The Retailer’s menu has four components 1. Opening stock of shop 2. Acknowledgment of receipt of fertilizer 3. Sale of fertilizer to farmer. 4. Sales report Retailer’s Menu

3 Sale of fertilizer Identification of buyer and land owner/land survey number Identification of buyer For every sale buyer has to enter his Aadhaar number and put his finger on biometric device. The finger print will be authenticated from UIDAI database, CRDH. After authentication system will ask whether the buyer is purchasing for self or for other’s land. If other’s land system will ask for land owner’s Aadhaar number. System provide the fertilizer recommendation from land record database-webland and soil health card database.

7 Sale of fertilizer Recommendation of fertilizer System will give recommendation based on the season and the crop sown projection in soil health card database. – Land owner name – Land owners father name – Total cultivated land – Recommendation of fertilizer Urea DAP MOP NPKS

8 Sale of Fertilizer Preparation of Bill The mfms server will provide, available stock in shop available with retailer. The retailer will enter the quantity of fertiliser sold to the farmer and the unit i.e. 50 kg bag or 25 kg bag Retailer will enter the unit price of the product sold and press submit The POS device will prepare the bill.which can be printed by using thermal printer available in the device. POS will send the invoice and other sales details as entered by retailer to mFMS server and print the invoice.

10 Printing of Bill System prepares bill Bill can be printed from the thermal printer attached to the POS machine Bill has: – Date – Farmer name – Farmer father’s name – Aadhar number of Farmer – Total cultivated area – Product sold – Quantity along with unit – Unit price – Amount

11 Opening Stock Of Retailer Shop Opening stock is a one time exercise which captures the stock in the retailer shop at the time of starting the software The mfms server will provide the list of products in which retailer deals, to the POS device through web service. The retailer enters the opening stock of shop for the above products. POS will send opening stock data of products, as entered by retailer, to mFMS server.

12 Acknowledgement of Receipt of Fertilizer Acknowledgement of receipt of fertilizer will be done by retailer as and when he will receive fertilizer from company/wholesaler. The mFMS server will provide, list of sale transactions made to retailer by Companies/Wholesalers which are not yet acknowledged, to POS device through web service. The retailer will enter receipt details through PoS device for above sale transactions. POS will send receipt entered by retailer of given above sale transactions. to mFMS server.

13 Security and Authencity Only the Retailers registered with mFMS can install the software and register the POS device and then use it for capturing the sales data The POS device registration binds the physical address of device with mFMS Retailer Id and pin. Whenever mFMS server receives data from POS device, it authenticates the pin and physical address as sent by POS device against the mFMS Retailer Id. At the time of sale to farmer, the device captures the aadhar no and fingerprint of the buyer which is authenticated against the CRDH of UIDAI. This ensures that the buyer is a resident of India and is present there. The Aadhar number of the buyer will be used to fetch the land details from the Webland Web Service. If desired,this can be used to limit the sale fertilizer against the total cultivable land of the buyer.
