Rockwood’s precursor Meadows freight ( Hong Kong ) Limited was set up in Hong kong in 1971, it was a joint venture which was invested by Australian Forwarding Agency Pty Limited in Australia and Thomas Meadows International Limited in UK. After years of operations and developments, a local management buy- out happened in 1989, Meadows freight ( Hong Kong ) Limited was officially transformed and became an exclusively-invested enterprise by Hong Kong people. In Nov. 1990, new company name Rockwood International Freight Limited came into use.
