Be FAT: Faithful, Available, Teachable Come with a willingness to serve. Be totally in and willing to learn. Move out of your comfort zone to meet the needs. Avoid the “poor them” attitude Be all there Be involved every moment you are there Follow the rules Sometimes we may not understand why certain missions organizations do things they way they do, but there is usually a reason behind it. Show respect by doing it their way. Things to Remember
17
You are not the Savior, Jesus is. Be Proactive! If you see something that needs to be done do it. Some "jobs" might not seem glamorous. Washing dishes or stacking chairs might seem boring, but it needs to be done. Don’t make promises you can’t keep Take it all in Listen to the people you'll serve. Don't be afraid to tell them you will pray for them. Keep a prayer journal while on the trip. Christ will use this time to draw you closer to Him. Things to Remember
