12 School of Management and Science A new Integrated Masters course is being developed for a 2011 Start Master of Science in International Fashion Management (full time) 4 or 5 years depending on whether candidates participate in the placement year Awards at HE level 7 (Master of Science) with exit points at HE level 4 (Cert HE), 5 (Dip HE), 6 (BSc) Curriculum specialisms: Fashion Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, People Management.

13 Master of Science in International Fashion Management Strong international dimension supported by global business language and cultural elements Deconstruction of corporate social responsibility in an international context Established international links (Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi / University of Boras, Sweden – Institute of Textiles / Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology/ Amsterdam Fashion Institute / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Laboratory Institute of Merchandising New York) to be utilised for curriculum development Focus on numerical and quantitative science in response to demand from industry and the current national academic debate Use of simulated IT based industry relevant projects Dual-School course management / delivery: course development and delivery to HE levels 4/5/6 to take place within the School of Management and Science and course delivery at HE level 7 within the Graduate School.

14 Master of Science in International Fashion Management Post Graduates from this Integrated Master’s programme will be much in demand by employers as it will provide a range and depth of specialist knowledge at Master’s level and equip graduates with vital technical and personal skills; this programme provides concentrated delivery of the educational foundation for a career as a leading professional in supply chain management, logistics, buying and merchandising. The following industry partners have already expressed strong interest in the design and delivery of the programme: Debenhams, The John Lewis Partnership, White Stuff and ASOS. Optional placement year opportunity following successful completion of HE level 5 Following consultation with industry, emphasis to be placed on drawing upon student cultural backgrounds and experience to support peer learning and individual reflection Emphasis in curriculum on personal and team-work skills development, in line with industry requirements.

15 Master of Science in International Fashion Management Core subjects at A2 equivalent – Maths, Economics, Business Studies, Science subjects, IT, Geography, Psychology, Languages Entry requirement of 300 tariff points (BBB at ‘A’ level) An IELTS score of 7 or above for international applicants.
