Calendar: Reminders about schedules you have signed up for (interviews, information sessions, preselect accepted/sign up for interview) Career events (fairs, workshops, etc.) Personal events that you create (tests, group meetings, etc.) Appointments, if using the appointment scheduler Left Hand Navigation Menu My Favorites: All jobs that you have applied for or marked as a favorite will appear in the job search screen Jobs applied to will be marked with a green star Favorites will be marked with a yellow star Resource Library contains samples of resumes, cover letters, thank you letters, etc., that have been uploaded by our office

Click on: Jobs, Internships, & Volunteer Opportunities Select “Job Search” from the drop down menu Selecting the search option will generate a list of ALL open positions. Sort the list by criteria selected from the drop down menu. Search by keyword or position type or choose “advanced search” for more options.

Tabs indicate who posted the jobs: UST Connect employers who posted directly for UST students Other Tabs positions posted to the corresponding websites and open to others outside the UST community Postings information can be: Sorted by job ID, title, organization, applicant type, position type, or post date Sorted in ascending order by clicking on any of the headers (click the header again & it will sort the list in descending order) Marked as a favorite by clicking on the grey star “Save Search” will allow you to save previous searches by naming them and saving as a favorite “Create a job agent” will run a nightly search of your job criteria and email you a list of new or updated jobs that meet the selected criteria

Open job posting by clicking on the ID # or the job title Job opens to give full description and application directions If a message appears that states you don’t qualify for the job, then the reason is given below the statement no documents on file classification, citizenship, etc. The job can also be added to “your favorites” for convenient access later or you can submit a resume stored on your UST Connect Profile. Search for people you know who are connected to this company.

Jobs will indicate whether they are linked to an on- campus interview schedule. Click on “view interview schedule” to view more information and/or submit a request for an interview.

If an employer has activated the “allow on-line referrals” option, then a “submit resume” will be displayed for students who qualify to apply for the position. To apply, click on the “submit resume” button or link to the left (if these do not appear as a selection, then follow the “application instructions” near the bottom of the posting) A window will open and allow you to select a resume that you have stored in your profile account You will also be able to type a message to the employer Click save and your resume and message will be emailed to the company that posted the position

Need a reminder of which positions you have applied for? Click on “my account” and select “my activity from the drop down menu Individual tabs give you access to jobs applied for, jobs for which you were hired, events you have registered for, surveys you have completed, and job agent reports you have set up

Select “email me New Jobs for this Search” Name the report and click “save” Job agent results will be emailed to you each morning The job agent function is independent of the job search function The job search saves your search criteria to run again at a later time The job agent emails you with new job listings that meet your criteria, as they become available on UST Connect

A tab exists in your “My Activity” that allows you to View, Disable, & Remove Job Agents. Select the Job Agent tab from My Activity (this can also be accessed from the “I want to…” in the left hand navigation menu). View – takes the user to a search results page with a current list of jobs that meet their criteria. Disable – disables the Job Agent emails, but does not remove it. Once the Disable Link is clicked it will change to an Enable link and emails will resume. Remove – removes the Job Agent completely from the system. It no longer exists or sends emails.

The Job Agent results email is sent to your email address daily. Lists all new postings that meet your criteria. The blue link takes you to the job postings. The “disable” link deactivates the daily emails.

View active Career Events by clicking on the menu. Clicking on the blue event titles will open a description of the event and registration information (if registration is required to attend). If employers are registered to attend an event, students can view those employers by clicking on the link in the Action column.
