What is Waste to Energy? Waste to Energy technologies convert waste materials into various forms of fuel that can be used to supply energy. Waste feed stocks can include municipal solid waste, construction and demolition debris, agricultural waste, industrial waste from coalmining, lumber mills, or other facilities; and even the gases that are naturally produced within landfills.

Conversion Process of Cogen  Feedstock undergoes off site preparation by specialist suppliers  The feedstock now a prepared fuel is further screened and stored on site  The prepared fuel is then stored and fed into one of gasifiers where it is heated under carefully controlled conditions to form a fuel gas  This gas is then passed into a boiler for energy conversion with the resultant steam being sent to a turbine for energy recovery

Process (Waste to Energy):

Advantages of this process:  Reduction of municipal and industrial waste disposal.  Reduction of CO 2 emissions from incineration.  Use of renewable low cost feedstocks  Converting waste into ultra clean fuel.  Use of sustainable methods to convert waste into useful products

Our Projects  Welland Bio Power: Welland Bio Power is a 9 MWe Waste Timber Gasification plant utilising the Nexterra technology.  Ince Bio Power: Ince Bio Power is a 21.5 MWe, £95 million, Waste Timber Gasification project at Protos, Formerly known as Ince Park, In Cheshire. It is utilising the Outotec Fluidised Bed Advanced Gasification technology.  Birmingham Bio Power: Birmingham Bio Power is a 9MWe Waste Timber Gasification plant. Developed by the CoGen team, this project is in commissioning at present.  Dartmoor Bio Power: Dartmoor Bio Power is a 3.5MWe Waste Timber Advanced Gasification project in Plymouth. It is utilising the Nexterra technology and is currently in the final stages of construction. Details at: http://www.cogenuk.com/projects/http://www.cogenuk.com/projects/
